You did not mention the screen I/O. Do you think it has a significant impact
on speed? I noticed that Norton Utilities Disk Test from version 3.0 to 4.0
ran much faster after they went from displaying every cluster number to every
100 or so. The speed improvements might also have come from other
improvements, however. Thanks, Leif
