SCREEN FONTS
Hello. My name is Bill Willoughby. I am a new member of the Adobe Forum, a
new owner of a PostScript printer (NEC LC890), and a new desktop publisher
(Ventura 1.1).
I just downloaded the fonts for the typefaces that come standard with
the LC890, and installed them in Ventura Publisher using instructions given
in IBMSCR.DOC. I looked at the Zapf Dingbats that I had been using, and
thelook fine. Unfortunately, the Symbol font characters now cannot be seen.
My guess is that when I changed within Ventura the default screen font
extension from EGA to PSF, I lost the Symbol information. Also, my Helvetica
and Times Roman (and Courier) fonted characters now look different. I
concluded that I would need to download the .PSF fonts for those, too. They
are not in the Library (DL 7). Are they coming soon, or is there another way
to convert them (i.e., an EGATOPSF utility)?
Also, I downloaded PSDOWN.ARC, and SENDPS.BIN (from DL 4). Any
documentation available for these programs?
Thanks, in advance, for your help. Bill Willoughby
