HELLO I USE ADOBE FONTS WITH A MacPlus and find that certain characters, ie:the ligatures for "fi"&"fl",when called from the keyboard seem to show the normal two characters on the screen and on my laser printer the are the two normal characters also. This seems to be the same on my dowloaded fonts as well as the ROM fonts on the Laserplus. I used ILLUSTRATOR and PageMaker 2.0a to try this. I believe that my Justext program has put the proper ligatures in before and I am confused as to why it doesn't work with the other programs. one more pointI have the greatest respect for the people of ADOBE because they have devloped the Postscript language and seeing the power of it for describing Graphics I then decided to go with the Mac and PS printers to use in my business as a graphic designer. I have been disapointed in that I have purchased 2 items Illustrator and some fonts of helvetica condensed to replace that crazy Hel/narrow that Apple gave me and still sits uselessly in my printer. Anyhow I have not received any notice from Adobe of upgrades to anything I purchased, though I read of ILLUSTRATOR '88',version 1.1 is good but I need to kern type use Graduated tones and Interpolation is needed. Well as I think of it the ability to switch measurement systems on the rulers is necessary as well as the ability to define large pages. I don't want to complain too much, I know you have a large number of customers and it seems most people selling Hardware and soft never notify the consumer,in my case the only company to keep me informed is Aldus and I am awaiting my third version of PageMaker which will only cost me a few dollars. What is the policy on Illustrator?? Barrie Murdock Toronto hpe this isn't too garbled, Im on a Model100 n
