Terry- .. Code 10 is the linefeed character. Refer to Page 360 in the AutoCAD 2.5 manual or Pages 353-4 in the Release 9 manual, where you will see the linefeed definition from one sample font file printed out as .. *10,5,lf 2,8,(0,-10),0 .. the 8 indicates that a x,y displacement follows in the next two bytes. The 0 says no change in the x direction, the -10 says go down 10. Adjust the -10 to another value to match your needs. To modify your favorite font, use a text editor to modify a copy of the .shp version of the font. Save the modified file and compile the font from the main AutoCAD menu. ..
