Robin, the Eread error indicates that the drawing file contains some
corrupted data that AutoCAD isn't expecting. The cause could be one of
several things, including disk or memory errors. Do you have a back-up? (heh
heh). If not, try the Ctrl-C / DXF recovery attempt described in Appendix F,
or there are other possible third party solutions advertised in periodicals.
The cursor on my display seems to "break up" just a little as I move it.
Depending on exactly what you mean by "break up", I'd say this is normal, not
to worry. =SM=
