Expo 88!
AUTOCAD EXPO '88 PRE-REGISTRATION SOARS
SAUSALITO, California, April 22, 1988 – Autodesk announced today that
pre-registration figures for AutoCAD Expo '88, held in conjunction with A/E/C
SYSTEMS '88, are running far ahead of those for last year's show, which drew
a record attendance. According to A/E/C SYSTEMS, over 25,000 visitors
attended the two shows in 1987. AutoCAD Expo '88 is being held in Chicago,
at McCormick Place North, from May 2 through 5. The conference program
starts Monday, May 2 and the exhibition opens on Tuesday, May 3.
"As of April 11, 142 booths or over 14,000 square feet have been sold for
AutoCAD Expo '88; compared with 97 booths covering a little under 10,000
square feet in 1987," reports Patricia Pellerano, Autodesk Promotions
Manager. "Over 4700 attendees had pre-registered as of April 8. Based on
this tremendous response, we expect that AutoCAD Expo '88 is going to be even
bigger and more exciting than last year."
The AutoCAD Expo '88 exhibition features demonstrations of the entire
integrated family of Autodesk products, including the latest version of
AutoCAD, the most widely used CAD software in the world. There will also be
demonstrations of AutoShadeTM, Autodesk's award-winning rendering software;
AutoFlix, an inexpensive animation package; and AutoSketchR, a full-function,
entry-level CAD program; along with some important new product releases.
Several major product announcements will be made at a press conference
scheduled for Tuesday, May 3, at 8:00 A.M.
