The plotter and computer are locking up? A ^C isn't canceling the plot
routine? That sounds like major hardware incompatibility. You may want to
try slowing down the 386 to 10 or 8 and see if that helps.
We have not had this problem with the "real" Draftpro we have here.
I would make sure the cable is identical to the HP spec and the plotter's
mode settings are the correct.
Question –
If you plot to a file then send that to the plotter, does the device have a
problem with the file?
Perhaps there is something off in the HP emulation.
