ACAD slow on SUN ??
A company I work with has recently purchased a sparc2 workstation. I was
interested in how fast AutoCAD 11 runs on it so I gave them a copy of the
San Diego benchmark. It turns out that my 386-33 with 8Mb RAM and 64k
hardware cache ran the same time for the test at 5 minutes and 50 seconds.
Theoretically, this machine is 3 or 4 times faster. Is it likely that it is
very poorly installed, or does AutoCAD just not run that fast on the
sparc2?
