I think that you are right and I missunderstood the problem. If the fonts are handled in the same fashion as Amiga screen fonts (and they should be) then just using an unimplemented (as far as I know) feature already built into the system would handle the problem. Since the font header files are pretty small (usually under 1K) and have the ability to specify the location of the fonts themselves then there would be no requirement to have a multiple PSFONTS: assignment. Of course this is contigent upon the ability to access the font without necessarily having to use it for screen display. I may well be further displaying my ignorance of the whole problem but what the heck….. maybe I'll learn something.
