Actually, the fact that DCTV was a composite *only* device was a significant part of my decision to go with a HAM-E unit instead. One can always convert RGB to Composite (with generally better results than the direct composite output produces…) but cannot convert the other way. You can also convert RGB to Y-C for SVHS recorders… Ah well, to each their own. With BBS apparently no longer producing the HAM-E, DCTV is a good alternative. (OTOH, I've seen ads in European magazines for some other low cost high color alternatives… I wonder how they'll stack up…) On a side note, does anyone know if DCTV supports PAL mode? –>Steve Bennett
