Actually, that's not all that uncommon an occurance, and most of the time is not deliberate at all. The reason for this is the default resolution differences between the Amiga and the IBM. On an IBM VGA, there are either 340 or 480 lines of resolution typically displayed, whereas on the Amiga there are typically only 200 or 400 lines displayed (more on PAL machines and/or if overscan is used…). So when an IBM VGA image is converted to the Amiga, it is usually cropped a bit at the top, bottom, or both. (Most likely the bottom.) Since credit info like you mentioned usually falls into these areas, it's very likely to be lost in the translation. The same thing applies the other way around, mind you, with Amiga images going to IBM EGA format, which only has 350 lines, or when an Amiga overscanned image gets converted. As a final note, regarding your comment about Amiga folks not coming up with original scans of our own… Frankly, I've seen a huge number of Amiga generated scans uploaded (most of the time WITHOUT credit) to the IBM forums. I see very few IBM scans going the other way. I think that speaks very nicely for itself… –>Steve Bennett
