Video Toaster (again)
Heard some interesting news about the infamous Toaster last night. A
friend of mine had been at WOA and talked to one of the techs at the NewTek
booth. It seems that the Toaster requires a "time base corrector" to work
with video tape input, or if using live camera input the camera must have
external synch. According to my friend, who is no stranger to the
pro/broadcast end of things, the low-end price for either of these gadgets
is around $3000-$4000.
If this is true, alluva sudden I'm not on such a hurry to get one …
Anyone have any additional information on this? RAD?
