Not entirely true. I would love to have a 3000 at for as a workstation, but I need 1024 x 1024 resolution on a 19" screen. CBM apparently wants to break into the workstation market BAD! The machine is more than adequate for most network uses, it's a powerful standalone, and Unix is due out from (The new Unix that is) AT&T this summer, with CBM hopefully close on their heels. What's the max on the 3000? I think someone quoted something like 640 x 400, or whatever. Whatever it is, it ain't even VGA or SuperVGA (admittedly many more colors, which is great) I'm no hardware hacker, but it has been done before, CBM COULD have put in a higher res mode with fewer colors, and as long as they were going to support Multi-Scan, they could have put in 1024 x 1024 (black & White or 16 color/grey scale) CBM did not though. Now I know they aren't idiots, so let's hope they have a graphics upgrade in the works SOON!
