Oh come on! What I'm talking about is a single button! You mean commercial software development is an acceptable excuse for inertia? I think not. I got a lot of mysterioso vagueness about virtual reality development to think that Newtek is totally uninterested. In fact, I'm a bit peeved that the tech rep would take so much device specific "developer level" technical input and throw up "stonewall". Perhaps you would like to expand on how giving Toaster users and potential high-level developers some hardware programming info is a threat too Newtek? Someone's going to go out and knock off a board based on that info? Or maybe someone might create some software to extend the hardware that you have to buy from them anyway? Right now, I know some folks working with the Rambrandt board (a far more expensive and 'limited market' device) with very strong technical support from PPI. Yes, PPI is concurrently writing their own software. They just happen to feel it might just expand their market to give some of the other developers the opportunity to use their hardware productively. Of course, PPI is also supporting SAGE, hopefully for the BENEFIT of users who choose to invest in their product. You should let the folks at Traz make their own excuses! On the other hand, could it be that we've struck a sensitive note for people determined to preserve a closed system (remember the early Macs) without much concern for the loyalty of Amiga users who gave them their start in the first place? As a gamma user of a low serial number Toaster whose done a lot of alpha and beta testing under more favorable circumstances, I feel more than a bit put off!
