Loyd, re what monitor to use with the FireCracker24. The FR24 output is RGB, just like the regular Amiga output (only higher color & resolution of course 🙂 …. so you need a monitor that will sync at the 15.75mhz rate of the standard amiga RGB port. I use my 1084 monitor just fine. If you go for a VGA type monitor (ie. multiscan) then it will need to scan down to the 15.75mhz range of the amiga to work. You cannot use a strait VGA monitor (13.5mhz) or such with it. Monitor must work at the 15.75mhz range. If your monitor works with your regular amiga RGB output (not a flickerfree deinterlacer output) then you're ok, otherwise not. Impulse told me that the FR24 would work in the A3000 when I asked them once. I don't use it in one, nor know of anyone who is, however. Maybe some A3000/FR24 owner can verify? –jp–seattle–
