Thanks again for your input. It would seem i have found the BBS to settle
down with right here in CI$ (actually, I d/l it from Software Distillery)..
'Proteus'. It's *extremely* flexible in all areas, including I/O (almost
anticipating my every need!). I have already had great success logging in
and using it via DNet, and concurrent operation with up/downloading is a
snap.. I only had to write a small 6K terminal server for it (since STERM
requires that window-size junk to connect). The only other obstacle may be
in the user interface for file transfers, in which I want the BBS to
initiate all transfers, but also want a decent status readout (bytes
transferred, etc.) for the remote user, and Getfiles & Putfiles' servers
operate invisibly.
