how are we doing?
As a subscriber I'd like to see more technical substance in AW. A case in
point – I was sorely disappointed in Sheldon Leemon's 2 part article on
Amiga OS2.0. I found absolutely nothing helpful in the article, it sounded
more like a CBM advertisement than an article from an "independent
journal". I also think that PD and shareware gets the short end of the
stick over commercial programs – though I can understand the economic
reasons for this. A glaring example of this is an article a few months back
(the title escapes me at the moment) on directory utilities, where
Directory OPUS and DiskMaster were reviewed but not a peep about SID.
While I'm on a roll, I'd like to make a pitch for those people, like
myself, who use the Amiga for something other than video. I applaud your
article about Amigas in the scientific community. (In fact, I bought Maple
as a direct result of reading that article). I would like to see more
articles on, or at least SOME space devoted to, scientific and/or business
applications.
Thanks for this opportunity
