Support has been excellent; speed is 28 mhz, you can request (as I did) a
25 mhz version of the board (I'm a conservative at heart) or just take it
at the 28 mhz clock speed. Mostly we've got 28's, and they work fine. Cost
is excellent – you can get the board for under $1000 US, last I checked.
Compatibility is as good as any of the 040 boards; that is, 040's are the
LEAST compatible processor due to various advances in the CPU's
architecture, and ANY '040 board will give poorly written games fits, and
may even give some otherwise well-done applications a problem or three.
But in no way is the RCS board a source of specific problems.
