Erik. As I understand it, there has been some hookup which allows the Mac and Amiga/Toaster to work in unison. The Toaster board remains in the Amiga, but control is from the Mac. If a special arrangement could be made whereby the Toaster hardware would fit and operate in a PC 386/486, think its application in an Amiga would evaporate. I was very surprised to know that the Amiga-4000 and Toaster would NOT operate together. One would think that Commodore would come up with some "fix" to allow this – as it would then add considerably more sales potential. It is also a pity that Commodore have not designed a machine which can be updated by the customer – rather than having to buy a new model. This is the trend it some of the newer PC motherboards. Probably we shall see the new video/Toaster related products emerge in the NAB show in about 2/3 week's time. It should be interesting. Best regards, HILARY.
