I don't know why CBM doesn't sell the A3070 drive as a 250meg unit. But
then, who does understand their marketing?
It would be tough to beat the price of the A3070 for a similar SCSI tape
drive. Hmmm, I think I bought my 3070 for $350 from Software Hut from an
ad in AW. Moonlighter Software sometimes has reconditioned Archive drives
for $250. They are the Amiback people.
The A3070 is in a case with its own power supply. It might be difficult to
put it in a tower case as it seems to have a strange connector on the
drive inside. It works very well on its own and has a cable that attaches
to the standard 25 pin SCSI connector on an A3000, A2091 and most SCSI
cards.
Other 1/2 height SCSI tape drives would fit well in a mini tower case. I
have a case with a Syquest, CDRom and 3.5" drive inside. Works great.
