To do MultiMedia you don't need a toaster. Scala, AmigaVision a good Genlock,or DCTV a paint program (take you pick, but Dpaint is a safe bet…) a sound digitizer/recorder (perhaps the AD1012 form Sunrize) and you are in business. If by multi-media you really meant video production, then a Toaster would definitlybe more appropriate. That is, if you are going to be more oriented to editing live video, doing 3d single frame animation etc. you'll need the software and frame buffers of the Toaster. Otherwise, forjust slide showing and creation, it lacks the abitlity to synch sound and video, won't play animations in real-time, can'tr offer a grahpical timeline and machine control for a multimedia showing, etc. SOme people use Multi-Media and VIdeo Production interchangelably when they are tow different animals. The upshot is that some people end up with great video editing suites to do corporate view-graph presentations and that is money poorly spent. If you can tell us in a littel m re detail what you are trying to do on the PC wer might be able to give you a good idea of an Amiga set-up that would make your life easier and it may not need to include a Toaster as that is not, strictly speaking, a multi-media tool in and of itself. wmc – via Autopilot!
