Jonathan, Lew Eggebrecht talked in detail about a lot of this stuff. The A4000T has a 25MHz 040, same memory setup as the A4000/040. Availability in a couple of months. The DSP board is now going to be on a Zorro III card. There were a number of reasons for this, but primarily they discovered that by putting it on a card with its own memory its performance would be nearly doubled. And they get an additional speedup since they can run it at 66MHz instead of 50MHz that way. BTW, they FINALLY publicly admitted it was the AT&T DSP3210! I couldn't believe how many Opalvisions I saw selling. Commodore is NOT getting out of the Bridgeboard business. That's someone's guess that has been getting too much credit. What happened was simply a major overstock situation, and they're blowing out the inventory at a very low price. Commodore's marketing dept. assured me that the Bridgeboard is very important to them strategically and they will most definitely NOT be getting out of the business.
