#WOA-NYC Report
Paul…
The DSP is theoretically capable of many things. For example, it can be a
digital sound sampler/processor capable of sampling and processing digital
audio at CD rates in excess of 44 kHz.
The DSP could be used to generate more realistic voice than what the Amiga
can currently do on it's own. Apparently there is a library of established
algorythms which makes this possible, I'm not sure exactly how that works.
It could also act as a graphics processor of sorts, but I don't know if
that's a direction that is going to be taken.
Apparently a DSP also has the ability to be used as a modem, but I'm not
sure how that works either. There are probably a LOT of things it can do, since
it's a real serious device. I guess we'll see. 🙂
