Here I am with my latest GPFax problem. OK, I updated to 2.3 (or whatever the latest version is). I got from the Supra BBS information on how to run both my answering machine and GPFax together so that if it's not a voice call and it is a fax call, GPFax calls in. Since my cheap answering machine auptomatically went into toll saver mode (i.e., if any messages, it went from 4 to 2 rings) and it didn't automatically disconnect from the line if an extension was picked up, I bought a new answering machine (hey, got to help the economy!). Well, I can't get GPFax to accept the settings that Supra says have to be in place for Silent Answer to work. The problem, in fact, is Silent Answer. I'll load GPFax, with the modem connected. GPFax recognizes that the modem is on line. Yet when I go into the options menu, and select Ailent Answer, I am queried about the existence of the modem. Is there an easy answer to this one????? PAW
