BattleStar Galactica? More like a cross between 2001 and StarTrek the movie (the first one). The tone/feel was more 2001, and like ST the movie, too much padding. Compare it to the pilot for StarTrek, where Spock is laughing, loud, and far from what he turned out to be. The whole idea that the Human race almost was wiped out, but saved by the retreating "victors" leaving a memory gap in Babylon's commander's head, who continues to be helped by the same alien race… what a story! Filled with goodguys, badguys and wiseguys. Compared with the other "space" pilots that premiered during that month, Babylon 5's story was better.
