Mark,
I installed a 2091 & Syquest in a 4000 for a guy. Since we didn't want
it to boot from the 2091 I removed the autoboot jumper. Then I copied the
SCSI.device file from the 2091 expansion directory to the 4000's hard
drive. That worked fine.
