Gamma correction? Huh? Whuzzat?
Please, I just spent the last week thrashing around with ProPage – trying
to get it to give me decent CYMK conversions for my new rate card . . . I
had to give up and use Multi-Ad Creator on the Mac. (How embarassing!)
The final output looks GREAT now, none of the posterizing that occured as
ProPage ravaged my original 24bit images. I talked to Gold Disk about
supporting Color output devices. To their credit, there had been ONE color
printer in their office – if only for testing. ("Duh, uh, yeah, it prints!
And in color too! Gee, it must work!)
Unfortunately, the area of Gamma correction is something that most Amiga
users have not had a need for yet. I currently don't know of any sort of
high end color calibration available for any Amiga display device.
I've gotten in touch with Vince (sorry, Vic!) by now . .
As you said, his originals were very good, I hope the Toaster did them
justice. (It seemed to come out pretty good.)
(There should be more tests forthcoming . . .)
Thanks,
Erik Flom
