Rob, SAGE will provide at least one level of device similarity, and
possibly independance. It will certainly make it easier for developers to
support boards that use it. The DMI Resolver and the PP&S Rambrandt are the
only two systems that I currently am aware of that use SAGE; support for
these boards is easily done (and of course we did it :^) so developers can
do multiple platforms without too awful much mucking around.
That's all I can tell you… and in truth, it's all I know.
