Michael,
The only limitation with the Soundblaster Pro that you might want to be
aware of is its SCSI interface – I understand it's proprietary and only
supports one brand of CD-ROM drive. This won't be a problem if you're
doing an entire upgrade at once. You might also consider the Pro Audio
Spectrum, which supports a wider range of CD drives.
