I have the identical problem, Steve. I have a 4 meg 2386 25 MHz bridgeboard in an A2500/2630 (with the latest roms) with 3 meg ram running WB2.1. I have 2 Quantum S40 hard drives and 2091 controller with older roms. (These drives work perfectly until you try to copy from one to the other – but that's another story… I have yet to replace the controller roms.) I have the autoboot C: drive set up as a virtual drive which occupies the whole second Q40. I use the internal A2500 floppy drive as a shared drive, and I have a dedicated external 3 1/2" low-density Amiga floppy attached to the bridgeboard. My bridgeboard always boots and functions normally from power-up, but if it should hang and require a reboot, the nightmare begins. Initially, it responds to CTRL-ALT-DEL in some cases (seems to depend on the crash), and it occasionally responds to PCRESET from the Amiga side. When these fail, the board will not reboot at all with a reboot of the Amiga, and will not even reboot after power off for two or three minutes. Re-seating the board has made no difference. PCPREFS has been adjusted to all possible combinations, as has the setup on the PC side, but to no avail. I have gone over all possibilities with the service person at my dealer's, and he has no useful suggestions. Well-meaning people who have not encountered the problem themselves have offered many suggestions – all unproductive so far. I strongly suspect that there is no obvious simple solution.
