James, I _had_ Stacker 2.0 on my machine and it worked OK until there was a power outage and my machine crashed and when Stacker crashes it crashes very badly. To cut along storage short I lost the entire contents of my disk and hadn't backed up for a while. If you back up frequently then you may be OK. My other criticism was that it added another layer of maintenance which I didn't really have time for. You have to keep defragging and other such mundane things far more frequently than without. It put me off disk compression (I still like file by file compression) for a long time. I would buy another disk before I would add Stacker again. In short most people love it until it crashes then they love it considerably less <g>. Martin PS: I do know several others who have had this experience so it's not an isolated incident.
