Eric, There is an undocumented "trick" on how to set the RETAIN flag — it
won't show up on the menu and even if you manually type SET RETAIN it won't
"take".
I don't remember if you use AutoPilot or not — if you do and if it's version
1.04 or later, delete your AP:CISINIT file and let AP again setup it's
CompuServe terminal definition — one of the things that it does is set the
RETAIN flag.
If you don't use AutoPilot, send me an email and I'll go into the details on
how to (successfully) get the RETAIN flag set.
