Eric, Thanks for the message. I have had a bit of troble getting the CDU31A driver to work. Here is what I had to do for multimedia and cdrom. 1.Update the config.sys as follows. REM —————— CD-ROM PARAMETERS —————————— IFS=D:\OS2\CDFS.IFS /Q BASEDEV=SONYB31A.ADD /A:0 /P:1F88 BASEDEV=OS2SCSI.DMD DEVICE=D:\OS2\OS2CDROM.DMD /Q DEVICE=D:\OS2\MDOS\VCDROM.SYS REM ————————– MULTIMEDIA —————————– SET DSPPATH=D:\MMOS2\DSP; SET MMBASE=D:\MMOS2; SET NCDEBUG=4000 DEVICE=D:\MMOS2\VAUDIO.SYS DEVICE=D:\MMOS2\ACPADD2.SYS A DEVICE=D:\MMOS2\SSMDD.SYS DEVICE=D:\MMOS2\ADSHDD.SYS DEVICE=D:\MMOS2\MVPRODD.SYS /I:10 /D:3 /S:1,220,5 /N:PAS161$ DEVICE=D:\MMOS2\AUDIOVDD.SYS PAS161$ 2. Ensure all disk drivers (I have a hard card) come before the above. 3. Check the PATH/DPATH/LIBPATH and SWAP path statements to make sure that the cd drive is NOT included. 4. Boot OS/2. At this point the CD is NOT recognized as the sound card needs to be initialized first. 5. Shutdown and re-boot. Sound and CD rom are both OK. Works great. I hope this helps. Best regards, Roland.
