#CD Audio
I have looked – very briefly – at your program, and it seems quite capable.
It has been a while since i tried to find a CD playing program that i liked,
but it seemed that they wouldn't detect disk changes, or wouldn't start if an
audio cd wasn't in the drive, or something, and then the CD Player that came
with windows alway wanted to disable my configuration if i booted w/o an audio
CD. But, like I say i'll have to find the time to do the exploration on yours.
I got the feeling that there were limitations in the multimedia API, or
whatever it is you use to program that kind of stuff, that i was bumping up
against.
The Pioneer DRM-600 (older) and DRM-604x (newer) work on a "jukebox"-type
principle. They have one laser read mechanism, but can switch one of 6 CDs
contained in a cartridge into alignment with the laser mechanism to be read.
Each disk that can be mounted appears as a seperate drive to windows, mine are
U:-Z:. It is a relatively inexpensive way to implement a network-type
environment on a single-user system.
One note, both the main and Small! windows are resizable, but the
controls don't move to adjust to new size, you should fix their size.
