Have I got a deal for you <mips>. Saw in the paper last weekend. You too
can own your own Cray supercomputer. Seems Lawrence Livermore Laboratory
retired one recently. Sold it at auction for $10,000. One problem though.
Costs $35,000 per month to operate it. They retired it because they could
do the tasks with Silicon Graphics workstations, each of which costs about
the same as that one-month operating cost! <g> The Cray cost $19,000,000
(tax dollars) in the late 70's.
