Mark, Thanks for the quick and full reply. I've already read your excellent review, and that is one of the things that sold me on the Pioneer 604x. It sounds like very good advice, in view of the scsi crystallization process to get an adequate 8-bit scsi card that'll do the job now, and do the upgrade later when mo-board and the scsi-specs all come on line. From what I've read on cis, Pioneer also gives very good support for it. …………….Bob
