Higher speed limits don't equate with more accidents. In fact the reverse is
probably true as the traffic finds its own level rather than being forced
together.
Even the official figures still show motorways are the safest roads to drive
on.
Speeding tickets raise too much revenue; that's why the actual limits won't be
made more realistic<g>
