NewTek, I am a Mac user/consultant/developer who caters to the entertainment industry. Although my services are normally kept to accounting and inventory databases, I have seen your Video Toaster and read articles on it just to keep abreast of the industry. It looks great. Now, the reason I'm sending this message. I read an article on the Toaster and its makers recently (within last month), and I want to give a copy to a friend of mine who is starting his own production company and expressed interest. The problem is I can't find the article! I was wondering if you might know where and when it was published. I read MacUser, MacWorld, MacWeek, American Film (from AFI), and Rolling Stone regularly. I also read Premiere on occasion. Gee, this is starting to sound a bit like an ad in the personals, isn't it? Anyway, the article talked mainly about the two guys who developed it rather than technical details of its use. I remember one part of the article talked about how one of the developers was in a hotel room and saw a 'Toaster-effect' on a soft-porn movie that happened to be on. (Was that really it, or did I just throw in soft-porn from my subconscious? I don't mean to offend…I think that's what I read.) The two guys watched the show and were amazed that their product was being used already. Does any of this ring a bell? If so, please let me know where I can find the article. If not, sorry and I'll never bother you again. By the way, is it possible to get some Toaster literature sent to my friend? Thanks. Michael Ward
