If I might suggest an addendum to your suggested basic services, your starting point is good but requires more flexibility. In somewhat the same paradigm <sp?> as C and C++, if there were a basic model with features. For example, if one had a head and one of the features that one could tweak would be the length of the nose (depending on the number of lies told <g>). This means that the "model" would not only be data but also code for modifying/tweaking the basic model's selected characteristics. The selection of features would be the choice of the constructor/provider since support code is required for modification of the selected features (which could be updated and expanded with later releases). I do know that this can be done manually but I am lazy <g>. I don't think that this sort of thing has surfaced here yet, so what are some thoughts, if any.
