Larry,
I just bought an Epson ES-600C scanner, and it came with TWAIN software –
but apparently TWAIN only works on MSDOS machines. I've not yet been able
to even try out the machine because I had to order a cable and drivers for
the Amiga, and they have not yet arrived. The scanner can be used with
either ImageMaster R/T or with AdPro. With AdPro you must buy an extra
driver which retails at $200, but can be bought for less. I believe the
latest version of Imagemaster R/T has the drivers included. These are for
the parallel-port version, unless I'm mistaken. If they work on the SCSI
version, then I think I shall send mine back for a replacement, because I
believe I can use the SCSI version on my Toshiba notebook computer as well
as on the Amiga. At least, I see nothing in the docs to indicate that it
wouldn't work there. But I cannot get it to work through the Toshiba
parallel port, even though it can be set to be bi-directional.
