I had tried a borrowed Cyrix 486 module. I found that it was electrically compatible with the 386SX bridge, but the physical size was a bit off. I don't think it's anything some minor plastic filing can't take care of. Since it wasn't mine, I didn't want to mess with it. It seems there are a couple of components near the processor that get in the way of the module. When I put it on, it did work though. I did get a norton SI in the high 60's. Cyrix explains in their manual that the speed increase is due to the 1K cache built in the chip. If it's not enabled, there is essentially no speed increase. Anyway, for the $260, it's not a bad investment. I'm planning on getting one, but first the 340 mB hard disk Paul
