Haven't seen one yet. As of two weeks ago, all the 'local' dealers were very interested but still couldn't get thier hands on one. Based on some very short discussions and the even shorter articles/ads, I believe these drives are using a laser tracking system to allow much greater data density. The technology is totally unrelated to that of optical disks and does not offer the data security those do. Someone said the disks themselve will run about $20 or $1/meg. As you said not bad for backup. I've seen/heard nothing about access times. lGlamb
