PMJI, but … UL approval is generally required on equipment offered for sale
in many areas of the country. It may also be required in order to operate
equipment in a public place (not sure on this) in some areas.
However, I don't think UL approval in any way removes liability regarding
damages caused by your equipment. It is neither a legal shield nor an insurance
policy.
