With Sense8's WTK for Windows, you can control 3D graphics interactively via
DDE. The product is currently available as a beta release, with final due out
real soon now. <g>
One of the demo program's that comes with the package is a chart of US
population, with data coming from a live Excel spreadsheet.
It uses Win32 extensions and doesnt get great speed, but it does work.
Sense8 is in Sausalito and was founded by some folks who left Autodesk's
Cyberia project many years ago.
