Jonas, I am experimenting with rendering on fields (to disk, then to tape). But there are some things I don't understand. Perhaps you can clarify them. When I render a field to the display (and disk), I first see a field being displayed during the "transforming" process. Then it renders another field over the original image. Thus the image, like the file, has 2 fields instead of one. I thought that I would be rendering a field instead of 2. Could you explain what is going on? Incidently, I am doing this to circumvent the problems indiginous to MPEG where only the fields are compressed; I want to Y-blur the fields before I put them to tape. Thanks. – Gregory
