#False Rumours?

Do you happen to know how I can tell if my car has antilock brakes? I just
bought a 1991 Mazda Miata that was a repo being sold by the finance
companies retail outlet (not a Mazda dealer), and they have no idea if the
car has antilock brakes, and neither do I. Will a car with antilock breaks
NEVER skid? I tried slamming on the brakes while traveling on a wet road at
about 30MPH, and was able to get the car to skid, although I think all 4
wheels were locked. Does this mean that the car doesn't have antilock
brakes?
