I agree with John, I would love to see better high end machines from CBM. BUT, they don't earn much money. Just look at how many A3000/A4000 machines were sold since the release and you see: no way you can make a big profit. I think CD32 and A1200 offer good value for money. It mainly lacks application's using the resources, developer support, and better marketing. There are simply to many marketing mistakes done and I see no chance for CBM to recover from those mistakes with those persons currently at CBM. Try finding an Amiga dealer nearby and you know what I mean! Than start asking previous Amiga dealers why they don't sell Amiga products anymore! In my opinion, CBM can only survive by dramaticly downsizing the company again. This would lead to a decline in sales… but at least they should write black numbers. (call it the Atari syndrom!). In 6-7 years, CBM will be a 10 man company… unless someone else is going to finance them in some way… (wich I strongly doubt as CBM doesn't offer any major technology you can't get cheaper somewhere else). — Wolf Faust, Am Dorfgarten 10, 60435 Frankfurt, Germany —
