I've never even tried the DMusic player, sorry. I don't even think it's on my
hard drive. I agree about the irritating MIDI rush, and I very much dislike
having to manually drag the instruments all the way to the left so that they
can kick in properly on some tunes (can't find a reason why some tunes ALWAYS
have this problem, and some tunes NEVER do). Fixes I am much more worried about
include improper accidental notation convention that is used (ie, an accidental
holds for the duration of a measure ONLY for subsequent pitches that are in the
SAME OCTAVE. So an A# in octave two, followed by an A in octave three does not
notate the second A with a natural symbol. It should) Anyway, I do like DMusic
a lot, and while DMCS gave me better printouts with CopyistCompanion and The
Copyist, the use of RiffGrabber has locked me into DMusic2. Thanks for sharing
the story about the 'riffgrab' inspired song. Digital mutlitracking the way it
should be used! Nick
