Hey -G,
Lookie what I found in the Lofter…
"ERROR IN FIND PATH
Pathpt:3 interps:1
OOOOPS!!! (on the little button)"
and then my trackball cursor and keyboard go away until I push the power or
reset button and start 3DS (r.3) again. Now you probly wanna know what a
seasoned old 3DS veteran like me (har-de-har) did to get to see this lovely
message.
Well O.K., loading one of those pesky project files, I created a 4 vertex, 0
steps, 8" long path. Got one round-cornered box from the shaper on the starting
vertex, then the same shape on the second vertex 1.5" up the path. A smaller
scale of the same box on the third vertex which was very near to the second
vertex, and an even smaller rounded box on the last vertex. Lofted the shape,
F3 to look, F2 to reset the path to it's 2 vertex, 5 step default, and
OOOOPS!!! there it is, that amusing little message box. I cold-booted and
repeated the steps just to see if that message would come back, and so I could
write it down for you. It did and I did.
So, wadaya think, huh? I was using the 486/66 Deskpro with 44 Mb, and I can
usually lock this baby up without any warning or cute little message, so I
really felt almost privileged, and, yes, even compelled to tell the world all
about this'n. Do I get a spayshul prize for finding this? Can you find that
message all by yourself?
And one more little item that's been buggin' me for months: What kind of
Intel-based machine made them Intel Inside commercials anyway? And what
software was used? Anyone???
Back into the shadows… lurking… watching… B.
