Gary: Yes I'm back with the same problem but getting "much closer." I'd been working on an animation for over a week (25 hours), save to disk, left the program, turned my 486 off, only to return today and find 4 or 5 objects gone! Anyway, I've know the problem occurs when I save the file and return the next day. I also ran the following check. When I click on save project, I get an initial blink on my hard drive, (about a second) and the message appears "saving project file please wait" (no hard drive light is on at this time) then the message GOES AWAY as if the file had been saved. As I continue to wait about 3 or 4 seconds, (usually would have exited by now) Now the hard drive light goes on for about 4 or five seconds (I think now it is actually saving the file), then stops. My question, do you feel this is where I continue to loose obect info is occuring and could it have to do with my cache or ???? It was most discouraging to work on a prj for over a week only to return and find half the info is missing. I've checked for viruses, hard drive surface tests, file allocation tables etc. and everything is fine. I feel we're very close to the "PROBLEM CHILD" and will be MOST happy when it's fixed. Thanks for your professional help. Jerry
